http://www.fsv.cuni.cz/en/academics/study-abroad-opportunitiesPractical placements are to be realized any time from December 2017 until September 2018  (min. 2 months). Students can arrange a placement in an organisation of their choice, provided it is relevantly connected to their study plan. There is also a possibility to select from a list of partner institutions. More information and the list of companies and institutions receiving our students can be found at:

Lea Ďuračová

Professor Mark Neuzil

Professor Mark Neuzil of Communication and Journalism of St. Thomas College of Arts and Science in Minnesota will be the first incoming Fulbrighter to the ICSJ. He will be based at the Department of Journalism and will be teaching undergraduate ethics and graduate journalism history courses as well as a practical seminar (as a former AP correspondent) during the winter semester. According to the University of St. Thomas websites, Professor Neuzil said to his Czech mission: "'It’s just a real thrill for me. If you look down the list of people who have been Fulbright [Scholars] before, holy cow. There’s a lot of heavy hitters.'" And: "'I’m also interested in working in another media system for a while. Czech Republic is relatively new, really only been a couple decades or more, so their media system is pretty new. The training of prospective journalists has to be different than what I’ve lived. I’m really curious to see what the students expect, what we can teach them, what they can teach me, how their system is different from ours. I’m eager to meet the people who run TV stations, newspapers and radio and see what they expect from their journalists. It will be exciting.'"
