The CU Rector appointed Tomáš Karásek to the position of FSV UK Dean
Tomáš Karásek was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University on 13 January 2026 at a meeting of the FSV UK Academic Senate. The appointment decree was presented to him by the Rector of Charles University, Milena Králíčková.
He was elected to head the faculty for the term of office 2026–2030, which will begin on 1 February 2026.
Tomáš Karásek is hereby starting his second term as FSV UK Dean. In previous years, he also served as Vice-Dean for Development (2012–2022) and Vice-Dean for International Relations (2011–2012). In 2015–2022, he was the founding head of the Department of Security Studies at the Institute of Political Studies FSV UK.
