Strategic communication experts Jesper Falkheimer and Mats Heide from Lund University will speak at ICSJ

At the invitation of Denisa Hejlová, Professors Jesper Falkheimer and Mats Heide from Lund University in Sweden will visit the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. On 14 and 15 October, they will take part in a meeting and deliver lectures on strategic communication.

Jesper Falkheimer focuses primarily on crisis communication, public relations, communication management and disinformation. Mats Heide specialises in organisational and internal communication, change communication and strategic listening. Together, they authored Strategic Communication: An Introduction to Theory and Global Practice, which connects the field’s core concepts, theories and methods with examples from research and practice.

On Wednesday, 14 October at 14:00, a meeting for doctoral students, teaching staff and researchers will take place in room H015 at Hollar. The guests will share their experiences, discuss their joint work and reflect on their contribution to the development of the field. This will be followed by time for questions and discussion.

On Thursday, 15 October at 11:00 and 14:00, lectures on strategic communication from a Swedish perspective will take place in room H215 at Hollar. The lectures will be held as part of the strategic communication and public relations courses, with remaining places available to other students and teaching staff.

Both the meeting and the lectures will be held in English.
