EUMEPLAT Project Output: Special Issue of the Central European Journal of Communication
The team from the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism (ICSJ) has prepared a special issue of the Central European Journal of Communication focused on the future of platforms and their social construction. This project originated within the Horizon 2020 EUMEPLAT program and offers unique insights into topics such as surveillance and resistance, the future of algorithms and free choice, and the relationship between communication technologies and armed conflicts.
The issue was edited by Nico Carpentier from the Center for Culture and Communication Research at Charles University. The authors also include Miloš Hroch, Vaia Doudaki, and Klára Odstrčilová from ICSJ.
The special issue also includes a transcription of a roundtable held at ICSJ, featuring academics such as Marie Heřmanová, Martin Tremčinský, and philosopher Václav Janoščík.
