(De)constructing peace: invitation to a seminar with researcher David Ongenaert

The Culture and Communication Research Centre (CULCORC) is pleased to invite you to an upcoming seminar introducing our new postdoctoral researcher, David Ongenaert.

David is working on the project "(De)constructing Peace: A Multi-Methods and Multi-Stakeholder Project on Mediated Peace Discourses on the Russian-Ukrainian War." While the ongoing war has generated intense media discussions, peace discourses remain largely underexplored. His research examines how key stakeholders—including news agencies, journalists, citizens, and refugees—(de)construct and (re-)imagine mediated peace discourses.

Supervised by Nico Carpentier, David's project takes a comprehensive approach, analysing media production, text, and audience reception through a comparative multi-method framework.
