About our lecturers

Dr. Josef Seethaler is a senior scientist and research group leader of the research group “Media, Politics & Democracy” at the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies (CMC). His research group focuses on the relationships between media, politics, and the public communication spaces in a democratic system that is heavily dependent on the media for legitimizing power through transparency, control, and criticism, providing a forum for the competition of ideas and interests, and supporting political participation and responsible action of citizens. More about his work can be found on the link.

Prof. Bart Cammaerts is Professor of Politics and Communication and Head of the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
