The development and forms of civic online participation in the Czech Republic in relation to the European Migration Crisis (GAČR)

The Project Team "Development and Forms of Civilian Online Participation in the Czech Republic in relation to the European Migration Crisis" by the lead researcher doctor Lenka Vochocová finishes the first year since the project’s implementation. Existing research focuses on the presence of interdisciplinarity in migration discourse in online discussions, in particular on the proliferating pro-liberal tendencies of contributors, on the nature and form of deliberation in so-called "third spaces", online environments not typically focused on political communication, but (such as typical online discussion forums), aspects of populist communication in occupations about the migration crisis, or the emotional aspects of online policy debates about the migration crisis.
