Sport plays a significant role in the life and research of Dr Kateřina Turková from the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism FSV UK. During her active sports career, however, she knew she did not want to remain only on the track. She was always drawn to a broader perspective—understanding how sport functions in the media, institutions, and society as a whole. Read about her research. -
Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Call for period 04/2026-11/2026
The Erasmus+ employee mobility program selection procedure for period 04/2026-11/2026 was announced. Applications can be submitted from 1. 1. 2026 from 6 am to 31. 1. 2026 until 3:00 pm via the IS Věda application in the PAS module. The results of this selection procedure will be announced by the end of February 2026. -

Science Communication 360° conference: The second edition offers new formats, international reach, and prominent keynote speakers
The Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the SciComHub platform are bringing the second edition of the Science Communication 360° conference, which will take place on February 5, 2026 at the Jinonice Campus. After a successful pilot edition, participants can look forward to several new features. We invite science communicators, PR specialists, and researchers interested in presenting their work to the public. -
