I am currently a Researcher at Charles University (Department of Journalism, Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism, Faculty of Social Sciences) in Prague. My research project investigates the relationship between journalism, populism, and extremism, with a focus on the European Union. 

Previously, I was a María Zambrano Fellow at the Department of Communication Studies, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain), and a postdoctoral researcher at the School of International Studies, University of Trento (Italy). I hold a PhD in Communication Studies from Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand).


My research has been published in international journals such as Journalism ; New Media & Society ; Journalism Studies ; The Communication Review ; Media, Culture & Society ; Poetics .
I am the co-editor (with Carlo Ruzza and Paolo Cossarini) of "The impact of populism on European institutions and civil society" (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021). I am the co-author (with Piercamillo Davigo) of the book "Corruzione. Societa' e politica dall'Italia alla Nuova Zelanda" (Castelvecchi, 2024).
